About JSON Minify
Minified JSON removes the whitespace that makes JSON readable, which shrinks the size of the data. Smaller payloads load faster and cost less to transfer, which matters for APIs, config files, and anything sent over a network.
This tool parses your JSON and re-serializes it with no extra spacing. Because it parses first, it also catches syntax errors, so you know the minified output is still valid JSON.
How to Use
- Paste your formatted JSON into the input box.
- Read the compact, single line JSON in the output box.
- Click Copy to copy the minified JSON.
- Use the JSON Formatter tool to expand it again.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does minifying change my data?
No. It only removes whitespace. The keys, values, and structure of the JSON stay exactly the same.
How much smaller will it be?
That depends on how much indentation the original had, but heavily formatted JSON often shrinks noticeably once the spacing is removed.
Is my JSON private?
Yes. Minifying happens in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
