About Base64 Encode
Base64 is a way to represent any text or binary data using only a limited set of safe characters. It is widely used to embed small assets in code, store values in tokens, and move data through systems that only accept plain text.
This encoder takes whatever you type, converts it to UTF-8 bytes, and returns the Base64 string. Because it handles UTF-8 correctly, accented letters, symbols, and emoji encode without breaking.
How to Use
- Type or paste the text you want to encode.
- Read the Base64 string in the output box.
- Click Copy to copy the encoded value.
- Use the Base64 Decode tool to reverse it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this support emoji and accented characters?
Yes. The text is encoded as UTF-8 first, so emoji, accents, and other Unicode characters are preserved correctly.
Is Base64 a form of encryption?
No. Base64 is an encoding, not encryption. Anyone can decode it, so never treat it as a way to protect secret data.
Is my text private?
Yes. Encoding happens entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
