Base64 to Image
Paste a Base64 string or a data URL and get the image back to preview and download. The decoding happens in your browser with nothing uploaded.
About Base64 to Image
Base64 is a text form of binary data, often used to embed an image inside HTML, CSS, or a JSON payload. This tool reverses that, turning the text back into a real image you can see and save.
It accepts a full data URL that begins with data:image, or just the raw Base64, in which case it assumes a PNG so you can still preview and download it.
How to Use
- Paste the Base64 string or data URL.
- The image appears below once the text is valid.
- Click Download image to save it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need the data URI prefix?
Not necessarily. If you paste a full data:image URL the format is detected from it. If you paste only the raw Base64, the tool assumes a PNG.
Why does it say the data is not valid?
The text is not decodable as an image. Check that nothing was cut off and that it is really Base64 encoded image data.
Is my data private?
Yes. Decoding happens in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
