Password Generator
Create strong, random passwords with letters, numbers, and symbols. Choose the length and character types, and generate as many as you like. Nothing leaves your browser.
About Password Generator
A strong password is long and random, which makes it hard to guess or crack. This generator builds passwords from the character types you choose using your browser cryptographically secure random source, so the result is genuinely unpredictable.
You can set the length, turn letter cases, numbers, and symbols on or off, and exclude lookalike characters such as the letter O and the number zero to make a password easier to read and type.
How to Use
- Set the length with the slider.
- Choose which character types to include.
- Click Regenerate until you are happy with the result.
- Copy the password and store it in your password manager.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these passwords safe to use?
Yes. They are generated with a cryptographically secure random source in your browser and are never sent anywhere, so no one else can see them.
How long should my password be?
Longer is stronger. Sixteen characters or more with a mix of types is a solid choice for important accounts, and the strength label helps you judge each option.
What does exclude lookalikes do?
It removes characters that are easy to confuse, such as capital I, lowercase l, the number 1, capital O, and the number 0, which helps when you have to read or type the password by hand.
