About Android Message Generator

This Android Message Generator builds a realistic Google Messages[2] mockup that you can download as an image. You write both sides of the conversation, choose whether the thread is an RCS chat or a plain SMS text, pick a Material You bubble color, and the Pixel-style preview on the right updates the moment you type. When it looks right, you can save either the full phone or just the screenshot as a JPG. There is no signup and no watermark.

On Android, the look of a thread depends on how it is delivered. Rich Communication Services[1], or RCS, is the modern successor to SMS that carries typing indicators, read receipts, higher quality photos, and larger group chats over the internet. When RCS is not available, Google Messages falls back to classic SMS[3] and MMS[4], the carrier text standards phones have used for decades. RCS is standardized through the GSMA Universal Profile[5], and this tool lets you flip a thread between RCS chat and SMS text with one tap, which changes the input label and the status line the same way a real phone does.

The mockup follows Google's Material Design[6] language, so it includes the rounded bubbles, the grouped corner shapes for a run of messages, the stacked conversation header, and the pill shaped input field. Modern Google Messages themes its sent bubbles with the accent color you choose, part of the Material 3[7] (Material You) system, so you can switch between blue, teal, green, purple, pink, and orange here. The phone itself is modeled on a Pixel, from the centered hole punch camera and the Android[8] status bar to the gesture navigation pill, and you can view it in light or dark appearance.

Everything runs locally in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored, so your conversation never leaves your device. These mockups are useful for app store screenshots, product and UI design, tutorials, marketing graphics, and memes, but please use them honestly. They are a design and storytelling tool, not a way to impersonate a real person or fake evidence of a real conversation.

How to Use

  1. Set the contact name, the header subtitle, and the status bar time at the top of the controls.
  2. Choose whether the thread is an RCS chat or an SMS text, then pick a Material You bubble color.
  3. Pick light or dark appearance for the phone and set the status label, such as Read, Delivered, or Sent.
  4. Add messages and set each one to come from you or from the other person, with an optional time separator above any message.
  5. Watch the live Pixel preview update, then click Preview and Download, choose the full phone or just the screenshot, and save the JPG.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this Android message generator free?

Yes. It is completely free with no signup, no account, and no watermark. You can make as many Google Messages mockups as you want and download each one as a JPG.

How do I make a fake Android text message?

Set the contact name and the status bar time, choose RCS or SMS, pick a bubble color, then add messages for either side of the conversation. Each message can come from you (the right side) or from them (the left side), and you can add a time separator above any message. The Pixel preview updates in real time, and the Preview and Download button saves the image.

What is the difference between RCS and SMS?

RCS, or Rich Communication Services, is the modern messaging standard that adds typing indicators, read receipts, better quality media, and larger group chats over a data connection. SMS and MMS are the older carrier text standards that Google Messages falls back to when RCS is not available. In this tool the RCS and SMS toggle changes the input label and the status line, mirroring how a real phone behaves.

Can I change the bubble color?

Yes. Google Messages themes sent bubbles with your accent color through Material You, so this generator offers blue, teal, green, purple, pink, and orange. Received bubbles stay gray, exactly like a real Android phone.

Can I download just the screenshot without the phone frame?

Yes. When you click Preview and Download you can choose Full phone, which includes the Pixel frame, or Screenshot only, which is just the screen with square corners, exactly like a real Android screenshot. The preview shows you both before you save.

Does it look like a real Pixel?

The mockup uses a Pixel style layout, including the centered hole punch camera, the Android status bar with wifi, signal, and battery, the Google Messages conversation header with the avatar and call icons, the pill shaped input field, and the gesture navigation pill. You can view it in light or dark appearance.

Is my conversation private?

Yes. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored. The entire generator runs locally in your browser, so your messages never leave your device.
